No drug can compare to the Peavey 6505+ guitar amplifier (post includes video demo)

On July 7th, 2014, my wife and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. As a gift, my wife ordered my dream amp, a Peavey 6505+ 112 combo. The reason this is my dream amp is because it’s based upon the original 5150 amplifier that Mr. Eddie Van Halen designed for Peavey. As things go, Eddie took his design and amplifier name to his EVH Company.

However, Peavey was smart enough to hold on to part of the design and they repackaged the 5150 and the 6505. Well, the 6505+ is the latest and greatest update to a great amp design.

The amp took four (4) agonizing days to arrive, but when it did, I immediately plugged my EVH Wolfgang into the amp and begun experimenting with the amp’s sounds. Literally, after three (3) hours, I felt like I had only scratched the surface. However, I did stumble on one setting on the “Lead” channel that hooked me and didn’t let go:

More people than I care to count use substances to numb out or otherwise change their mood. But what I can’t understand for the life of me is: Why on Earth would anyone use something like alcohol or heroin when this amp exists? I mean, today, I had an enormous headache after spending my entire morning running errands. But, when I got home and plugged turned on my amp and swept across my Wolfgang’s strings, it was as though I never even heard the word, “headache,” before. Really, no substance can compare to my amp’s sounds; it’s like a gateway to a Holy place where God communicates directly with my soul.

For the first time, I videoed myself play the guitar because the sound is just too damn good to keep to myself. I may look like a hairy muppet, but man, my guitar and amp turn up the cool factor so high that nothing else matters to me.

So, I do hope the great sound comes through and, CJ: Thank you for giving me the portal to heaven. Oh, and the amp rocks, too!!
