even when we die, there’s a light too bright – a poem

in our soul –

there’s a light too bright

for any curtain or veil

pieced together from vain attempts

to ignore that we were made in

the Image of God…

we weave our cloak

of forced smiles and lies

to hide from the miracle of

our Human Life

but in our soul

there’s a light too bright

that can’t be dimmed

we can’t drink it away

we can’t sing it away

hell, we can’t even think it away…

cuz even when we die

there will always be a light too bright…
