Photographing the earth shed its winter skin for its spring skin (8 photos)

I love the contrasts of early spring; blossoms covered in snow is the earth shedding one skin for another.  It’s a great blessing to me to witness; when I aimed my camera at these blossoms, it was because of the clashing of the flowers against an overcast sky that threatened show.  It was like the Earth was playing an April Fool’s joke on all of us…

At any rate, these were all shot with a Nikon D3300 using a 200mm zoom lens set to “portrait.”  I did use manual focus, however, simply because to me, i can get a sharper image, most of the time…
