So, my alma mater and my son’s track team are working with Il Vicino in Santa Fe, NM to raise some money. St. Michael’s high school is a private, Catholic school based upon the LaSallian traditions and principles:
- Concern For the Poor and Social Justice. We are in solidarity with the poor and advocate for those suffering from injustices.
- Faith in the Presence of God.
- Quality Education.
- Respect for all Persons.
- Inclusive Community
For those who know me, those are basically my own guiding principles and if I’ve EVER guided ANYONE to a healthier version of themselves, it’s only because of the LaSallian tradition in which I am so deeply steeped (my BA and MA are also from a LaSallian school).
