Why I’m Running

After years of working within our Santa Fe community—building culturally responsive systems, mentoring youth, and honoring the traditions that define Northern New Mexico—I’m proud to officially announce my candidacy for the Santa Fe School Board, District 5.

My decision to run came after long, thoughtful conversations with my wife and family. With their full support and belief in my campaign, I am running as a voice for those who haven’t had one.

What I Stand For

  • Equity in Education: Every student deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of economic or linguistic background.
  • Community Voice: I will do all I can to include marginalized voices in policy making
  • Whole-Community Impact: Public schools are not just for students and parents. They’re the heart of our community, influencing public health, safety, and economic well-being.
  • Transparent Leadership: I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I do promise to listen, learn, and act with integrity.

It’s NOT about ME, it’s about WE

This isn’t just a campaign for a school board seat. While earning enough votes to serve is definitely one goal, I also hope that Santa Fe participates in the upcoming election. Voting matters and I hope that my campaign drives community engagement.

Whether or not you have a child in school, your voice matters. Together, we can create a school system that truly reflects the richness and resilience of Santa Fe. WE, as a community, have some healing to do and I believe that together, we can find common ground upon which we can re-build trust.
