After several months of research, I am proud to launch and share my breathing exercise tool, Vesica! The purpose of this tool is guide users through a short series of meditation practices. The point, though, is slow a user’s heart rate and align it as much as possible with brainwaves. This heart/brain coherence suggests that a person can be calmer and more focused as coherence approaches.
Over the years of substance abuse counseling I have done, i have learned that an anxious mind predicts a relapse or other compulsive behaviors. My thoughts are that, if we can calm our minds and slow our breathing, we can act through a more collected mindspace. Unfortunately, all too often, when we are “triggered” we revert to automatic thought pattern through which we perform automatic behaviors. In my own case, automatic responses/behaviors usually lead to some kind of trouble. No bueno.
Therefore, I have practiced and studied breathing techniques coupled with frequencies and humming such that I can better relax and focus. sometimes, these exercises work wonders, sometimes they are just average. But even when the outcome is just so-so, I do feel calmer and can disrupt any automatic BS that may have otherwise emerged.
I hope you give Vesica a ride. I want everyone to use it as much as they feel comfortable. It’s free and available. The only thing I ask of anyone who tries it is that they let me know their thoughts about it. Basically, I’d like to know if Vesica helps calm and focus its users. So, i hope you use it and that it provides value. As usual, my email is juan.blea@jblea1016.com.
